Oh man, I hate it when I see cameras because I always want a new and improved one~ SLR cameras are definitely the way to go but I love these lightweight ones. I shot some today for my pelican hub (updates coming) with a 2X converter on plus a super lens....to say that my arms are killing me would be an understatement. Lighter is better!
I will have to check to see if any of these have additional lenses that fit on, too - but I imagine any time you add lenses that equals weight~
You take such beautiful pictures, I knew you must be using a really good camera. They are really coming along with the lightweight cameras but I agree, when you start adding lenses you start adding weight.

i have both sony and canon though they are not SLR of course but going by the brand..i am sure and as you also write here that sony is the lightest one, while canon is a better quality, sony models are always sleek and lightweight all things that can be packed into one.. thanx for the great hub. voted up intresting and usefull....
