"Flash Xbox 360"- what does that mean exactly? Unfortunately along with all the new technology available today also comes a whole new language. New words, phrases and of course slang that all go along with all the personal gadgets that have become part of our everyday lives.

Flashing an Xbox 360 is part of that language and although it may be common among gamers, it can be very confusing to those who are new or casual users of Xbox 360. Basically Flash Xbox 360 is a modification to an Xbox that enables access to backup video games that are stored on backup DVDs from an outside source. This is often referred to as a firmware upgrade.

If you are an experienced gamer you may know exactly what to do and have a great deal of success. If you are not, you may want to consider some of the consequences if anything goes wrong. You may also be interested in an Xbox 360 custom case.

One issue that even experienced gamers run into when they "Flash Xbox 360″ is that Xbox used a variety of drives when manufacturing them. The three drives that were used are Hitachi, Samsung and Benq. This poses a problem trying to determine which one your Xbox 360 has already and finding the step by step instructions to follow to complete the flashing of your Xbox 360.

Second of all it requires you open your Xbox 360 case which you should know will nullify your warranty. This is really not something that is advisable unless you know what you are doing and know you are giving up any warranty you might have. There are alternatives to this process that do not take any special knowledge and is fast and easy. So if you are still not sure if you are ready for Flash Xbox 360, then keep reading for a safe and easier alternative.

Hi I enjoyed your article. My 14 year old knows all about this game and its gadgets. He is most of the time on this game. He talks to people all over the world while playing his game. He says it is his obsession, to beat all of his other friends at the game. Voted up.

Sweet wishes Rhonda
